Summer is here and the temperatures are rising! Check out our top tips to conserve electricity and reduce your utility bills.

Adjust Your Thermostat
Keep in mind that a setting of 78 degrees (or higher when you are not at home) can dramatically reduce energy use. If you can handle warmer temperatures indoors, do it! The smaller the difference between the temperature on your thermostat and the outdoor temperature, the lower your cooling costs will be.
Fans Are Your Friends
Switching your fans to rotate counterclockwise allows cool air to circulate without lowering the thermostat. Turning on the ceiling fan in rooms you occupy can make any room feel about four degrees cooler! When you leave a room, turn off your ceiling fans to avoid unnecessary electric consumption.
Keep the Cool In & The Heat Out
Seal cracks and add caulk or weatherstripping around windows (and doors). Use blinds or curtains to prevent added heat from sunlight from warming your home up further.
