Smoke Testing: The What & Why

ECU’s crew blows odorless, non-toxic smoke into the sewer system and assesses the area for smoke exiting the system.

Smoke testing enables us to identify leaks or cracks in pipes, broken manholes, and faulty connections. We can then address these issues to maintain the integrity of the sewer.
